A year has passed since Mzia Amaglobeli’s unlawful political detention. The Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association (GYLA) has been involved in the case of the founder of the independent media outlets, “Netgazeti” and “Batumelebi”, from the very first day and has been defending Mzia’s rights in both national and international courts.

The Georgian judiciary is clearly neglecting the politically motivated charges against Mzia Amaglobeli and other violations related to the case.

The legal battle over various violations in Mzia’s case continues at the international level, including at the European Court of Human Rights. The real enactment of justice should end with Mzia’s victory.
