GYLA and the Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development Held Presentation of the Research on Circular Migration Jointly with the Secretariat of the Government Commission on Migration Issues

On November 12, 2013, the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association and the Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development held presentation of the research “Circular Migration” prepared in the framework of the joint project “Promoting well managed migration between EU and Georgia”.

The research concerns opportunities for developing circular migration schemes between EU and Georgia. In particular,  the research analyses the concept of circular migration, its objectives, the nature of labour migration from Georgia to EU, illegal migration, migration aspects which may be settled through circular schemes, benefits of circular migration programs for migrants, circular migration schemes for EU and the third world countries and the prospects of developing circular migration in terms of Georgia.  
 
Representatives from the state agencies, international and local NGOs took part in the meeting organized under the initiative of the secretariat of the government commission on migration issues. Participants had opportunity to ask questions to Mr. Kazhmirkevich, the Polish expert and the author of the research who connected via skype at the event.  
 
It is the EU funded project. The presentation of the research was held under the support of the secretariat of the government commission for migration issues.
