On January 10, Georgian Young Lawyers Association filed suit with the request of public information from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.

GYLA is studying the grounds for undertaking inspection in Zugdidi public school # 6 in and the process of inspection. An application of a physical person is indicated as a ground of inspection of the Zugdidi Public School submitted to the Ministry a day prior to the inspection of the school.

In order to study the issue, GYLA has requested the public information from the Ministry of Education to inspect the time of entry the application into the Ministry and the time of reviewing it by the different officials.

GYLA also asks for information about how many individual applications were received by the Ministry during the year 2018 and how many applications were reviewed in an accelerated manner similar to Zugdidi public school #6.

The Ministry of Education did not provide GYLA with public information despite expiration the deadline set by law.
