According to the decision of the Council of Charter of Journalistic ethics, violations of the First principle (accuracy) was found in 14 media outlets and violation of the 5th principle (correction) was found in 11, in relation to Ekaterine Meskhidze's complaint.

A number of media outlets spread false information about the decision made by the Tbilisi City Court on August 9, 2019. According to the disputable materials published in media, the court found Papuna Ugrekhelidze not guilty and established that there had been no violence or sexual harassment during his taking the chair of the Public Registry. This information is not true. In the present case, the court did not even discuss whether sexual harassment took place or not.

The Public Defender has already found that Papuna Ugrekhelidze discriminated against Eka Meskhidze on the grounds of gender expressed in oppression and sexual harassment. The decision is final and will not be appealed.

Georgian Young Lawyers' Association defended interests of Eka Meskhidze  at the Council of Charter.
