GYLA has the new chairman

In December 18, 2012 Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association elected its new chairman, Kakha Kozhoridze. 
According to GYLA’s Statute, the chairman is elected at the first session of the board. The same person is entitled to be elected on the position during the three consecutive terms only. 
 
Tamar Chugoshvili, GYLA’s previous chairperson was elected on the position twice in 2010-2012. 
 
Kakha Kozhoridze has been working in GYLA, on the position of the head of Legal Aid Center in the period of 2009-2012. 
Hereby we submit the brief biography of GYLA’s new chairman. 
 
Kakha Kozhoridze was born on January 2, 1982. From 2009-until November 2012 he worked as a director at GYLA’s Legal Aid Center.  
Since 2009 he has been lecturing at law department of Ilia Chavchavadze State University.
He is co-author of various researches in GYLA.
In 2007-2009 he worked in GYLA as civil and administrative lawyer;
In the period of 2005-2007 he was an attorney at “Usupashvili-Zedelashvili lawyers’ group”;
In 2005-2006 he studied at GYPA’s law program, he successfully graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili State University in 2005, specialization lawyer. 
In 2004-2005 he attended internship in the Parliament of Georgia;
He successfully finished Khashuri secondary school No. 9 in 1999.
He has a wife and a child.
