Editorial independence of Adjara TV and Radio is still in jeopardy

Adjara TV and Radio journalists talk about the interference with editorial independence and state that specific arrangements are planned for this purpose, including changes in the staff list.

This is not the first time the TV representatives see a danger of changing editorial policy.

The events around Adjara Public Broadcaster during the last one year jeopardize editorial independence of the channel and harm freedom of the media and democratic development in the country.

We call upon the director of Adjara TV to ensure the editorial independence of Adjara TV staff.

GYLA expresses its readiness to protect the rights of every journalist.
